The Faculty at Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios is what makes us unique in the world of dance studios. Our Faculty has been trained by some of the best dancers, teachers and choreographers in the dance industry and more importantly still continues his/her dance education. Each teacher proudly attends dance conventions, classes, workshops and seminars on a regular basis, providing our students with the freshest technique and choreography available in the professional dance world. The Nancy Chippendale Faculty is experienced and energetic, each member bringing his/her own unique teaching style and passion for dance into the classroom. Our teachers also continue to work as professional dancers in Internationally recognized dance companies, in film and television, as International dance judges as well as teaching at dance conventions around the world. Nancy Chippendale is the owner and director of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios as well as the founder of the Nancy Chippendale Scholarship Program and Nancy Chippendale Dance Company. She has served as the USA Tap Coach at the World Tap Championships multiple times and is a World Champion Choreographer for more than 100+ Worl Champion Dancers. Nancy served as the United States judge at the International Dance Organization’s World Dance Championships in 2005, 2009 and 2010. She has judged the National German Tap Dance Championships and World Ballet, Jazz and Modern Championships in Poland. In addition to her international career, Nancy is a full time faculty member at her North Andover studio, where she teaches students of all ages and abilities.
Nancy comes from a strong base of traditional ballet, jazz and tap training from the Vicki Jo Boyer School of Dance in Dayton, OH. Arriving on the professional dance circuit at 19 years old, Nancy trained with dance legends Frank Hatchett, Gus Giordano, Art Stone, Debbie Dee and Jo Rowan. She went on to share the stage with tap great Gregory Hines.
Nancy opened her studio doors in 1978 in North Andover, MA, and the rest is history. Over 30 years later, she has trained thousands of dancers, some flying from around the globe to learn from her. Nancy’s passion for dance and teaching has helped her grow her studio into one of the largest and most successful in the country. Nancy has provided numerous performing opportunities for her students in various venues including Boston’s Wang Center, Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot Center as well as appearances in New York City, Hollywood, Boston, Chicago, and internationally in Germany and Malta. Many of Nancy’s alumni have gone on to dance in college and pursue careers performing with top names in entertainment, appearing in music videos, films, television shows and traveling the world on cruise ships and as part of international dance tours. Her dancers have also had careers as choreographers, teachers, studio owners, actors, and models.
Bob Carberry has worked at Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios alongside his wife since the day the studio opened in September 1978. Today, he can be seen at the dance studio just as much as the rest of the Carberry “women” and is an active member of the Tap Sub Committee at the World Tap Championships. Most people don’t know that Bob was a Combat Engineer for the U.S. Army in the Vietnam era and then spent 35 years in the Automotive Parts Industry. He is now retired and proud of it! After his daughters, Karen, Kelli and Kristina, graduated from three prestigious colleges, they went on to have successful professional dance careers around the world before working full time at their family’s booming dance studio. Bob found that the overwhelming work-load at Nancy Chippendale’s was enough to keep him busy. He is the President of KLC Productions and a sound and lighting engineer for all Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios Productions. Bob plays blues guitar, piano and the bagpipes. He has aspirations of running away to tour the world with a rock group one day, but first he’ll have to wait until the Carberry Girls run out of things for him to do.
Karen Carberry graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, where she was Director of the BC Dance Ensemble. Upon graduation she received a full year scholarship to the Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, where Karen performed works by Terry Beeman, Denise Leitner, Terry Best and Leslie Scott. Karen has worked alongside such stars as Carmen Electra, Tracey Morgan, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway to name a few. She has performed in music videos, commercials, television and movies, but her most rewarding role is that of dance teacher and choreographer at Nancy Chippendale's.Karen has been recipient of the Diamond Choreography Award at ADA, choreographer to the United States Tap Team and teacher of numerous National and International Champions. A piece of Karen's choreography was invited to perform, as one of twenty dances from around the country, at the 2010 "Dancin' Downtown at the Joyce Theater" in NYC. Karen is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT National Training Curriculum. She is also a proud member of Dance Masters of America Chapter #5 and received her Master's Certification in Ballet and Jazz.Karen was a member of the 2010 World Champion Tap Team from Nancy Chippendale's and currently serves as the Director of the NEXSTEP Pre-Professional Program at Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios.
Kelli Carberry, Nancy Chippendale's Class of 2002, is the founder of Babysteps Early Childhood Movement Center, a full-time faculty member at Nancy Chippendale's and an internationally recognized performer and choreographer.
Kelli's is a World Champion Tap Dancer and choreographer. She personally was ranked 2nd in the United States in both 2008 and 2010, and went on to win the Gold Medal and the title of WORLD CHAMPION in the female solo category, beating out thousands of other tap dancers around the world at the 2010 World Tap Championships. Kelli landed a featured solo role in the World Tour of "Tap Reloaded" alongside Chloe Arnold, Jason Samuels Smith and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards. She performed in Germany, France, Malta and various cities around the world. Kelli has also performed in United We Tap and Tap United as well as at the world renowned FOX Theater in Atlanta, GA, Walt Disney World, Foxwoods, with the Boston Celtics Dancers and Boston Ballet's URBANITY Dance Project.
Kelli was cast in AOL's ad campaign, naming her one of the top "Boston Authentics" and used her story as a dedicated dance teacher and World Champion on billboards throughout Boston. Kelli has also put her performing skills to work in television, music videos and film work. She was cast in multiple movies alongside Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Ben Affleck, Mark Walburg, Henry Winkler, Candice Bergon, Kevin James, Selma Hayek, Blake Lively, Amy Smart and Anne Hathaway. Kelli was also a choreographer for the films "Here Comes the Boom" and "Boyband" starring Michael Copon and Laura Breckinridge. She has not only worked with talented stars but also with some of the hottest directors and producers in Hollywood. Kelli graduated in 2005 from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications, where she was a member of BU on Tap.
Krissy Carberry, Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios Class of 2006, teaches full time at Nancy Chippendale’s and is also a guest teacher at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center in New York City. Krissy is a dancer and choreographer for the Nancy Chippendale Dance Company. She's had the opportunity to perform in "Tap Reloaded 2" in Valetta, Malta and "Tap United" in Boston, MA. She graduated with honors from New York University's Gallatin School, earning a B.A. in Individualized Study with a concentration on dance, business, and mind/body studies.
In 2012, Krissy was crowned the Gold Medalist World Champion at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany. Alongside her sisters, she won the Silver Medal in the Trio Division. Krissy also competed in the "Battle of the Feet." This improvisation competition included dancers from twelve different countries and lasted several rounds across three days. She won 1st Runner-Up and was featured on German National News. Krissy was also part of Nancy Chippendale's Gold Medal World Champion Jazz & Tap Teams in 2010, 2006 & 2004.
While living in New York City, Krissy studied tap extensively under Lynn Schwab and "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographer, Derick K. Grant. She was a member of three professional NYC tap companies, including Xander Weinman's "Sophisticated Sounds" which performed at the Steps on Broadway Faculty Showcase, "Tap Extravaganza", and the Tap City Faculty Showcase at Symphony Space. Krissy also performed in the Steps on Broadway Faculty Showcase with Adam Metzger's "SLURP" and performed in numerous shows with Carlos Doñan's "Folktap Danza Company."
Krissy's film credits include Bride Wars, featuring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, Surrogates, featuring Bruce Willis, and several NYU film projects. More than anything, Krissy is passionate about passing her love of dance onto her students in a fun and inspiring atmosphere.
Aaron Tolson - A New Hampshire native, Aaron started dancing at the age of ten. At 14 the tap prodigy was invited to perform in the Great Tap Reunion at the Apollo Theatre alongside tap legends Derick Grant, Savion Glover, and Gregory Hines, as well as the rest of the cast of the movie TAP! That same year Aaron joined his high school track team. Throughout his four year high school career Aaron set every school record in every event he competed in, including the 55 and 300-meter indoor dashes and the 100 and 200-meter outdoor events. His times qualified Aaron to compete in the 1992 U.S. Olympic Trials and earned him induction into the Memorial High School and Manchester, NY Halls of Fame. He also earned a full scholarship to St. John’s University, where he once again set records in track, a number of which still stand to this day. In 1996 he was invited to compete in the U.S. Olympic Trials. When not on the track or in class studying communications, Aaron was in Manhattan honing his tap skills. During his senior year to successfully auditioned for the New York Shakespeare Festival tap program, also known as Funk U! Soon Aaron became a company member of Manhattan Tap and worked in the show Tap Dogs. Jumping feet-first into choreography, he landed a job with Absolut in a national tour titled Absolut Tap! Soon after, Aaron accepted a role in the national and international tours of Riverdance. He was a featured soloist and captain of the tap dancers for six years as he performed on Broadway and at Radio City Music Hall, on various TV shows, at NBA games, and on stages the world over. In 2006 Aaron began working with longtime friend Derick Grant on Imagine Tap!, a Chicago-based show whose formation would become the subject of a feature-length documentary, titled Tap or Die. As a faculty member at The Boston Conservatory and Plymouth State University, Aaron choreographed, produced and directed Something to Tap About, Tapped, Tapped In and Inspired, all featuring performers from his own New England Tap Ensemble. Aaron formed New England Tap Ensemble, a non-profit organization, in May of 2007 to promote the art of tap in the community while fostering a sense of individuality in a professional artist. From Montana to Moscow, Aaron has performed and taught at numerous festivals including LA Tap Festival, Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Beantown Tap Fest, Tap United, Tampa Bay Tap Festival, Tap Kids Brazil International Tap Festival and FeetxFeet. Other favorite performances include Brookline Chorus’ Duke Ellington Sacred Concert, The Late Show with Liam O’Conner in Ireland, and playing Drosselmeyer in Clara’s Dream in A Jazz Nutcracker. Aaron is currently on faculty with Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center in New York City and is the director of Tap2You, an all-tap dance competition. In addition, he is the national spokesperson for SoDanca, and the Director of Speaking In Taps, a pre-professional youth company. Body & Sole Fitness is Aaron Tolson’s latest project, and one that allows him to share his love of tap with non-dancers, while working out and staying fit at the same time. Not coincidentally, Body & Sole was conceived in 2013, the same year he welcomed his daughter Charlotte into the world. Aaron currently lives in New York City with wife Emily, Charlotte, and their miniature schnauzer, Mighty
Alina Porzio graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 2013. She is now a senior at Merrimack College where she is studying Business Administration. She has been dancing for 19 years and has studied all styles of dance. Alina competed both regionally and nationally, winning various awards for her performances. She has had the opportunity to dance in Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach and also in Walt Disney World. Alina is a graduate of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston Dance Education Training Course. Alina was elected captain of the Merrimack College Dance Team as a junior. The team competes yearly at NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach in Division II. Alina is very excited to join the staff at Nancy Chippendales and looks forward to a sharin her love for dance with her students.
Andrea Pound is a 2009 graduate of Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios, where she had the opportunity to travel around the world and perform in places she could only dream of, like New York City and Walt Disney World. Andrea was a party of the 2008 United States Tap Team where she traveled to Germany and competed against some of the best dancers in the world. Andrea is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or Dance Education at Bridgewater State University. She is a member and choreographer for the University Dance Company and a guest choreographer for the WinterDance Concert. Andrea is thrilled to be back home and fulfilling yet another one of her dreams, teaching dance with the Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios family.
Anna Gilboard danced at Nancy Chippendales for 14 years and 8 years competitively. She graduated from North Andover High School in 2016 and is continuing her education at Merrimack College, majoring in criminology. Anna hopes to one day pursue a career in cyber security. Anna is very excited to join the faculty and staff at Nancy Chippendale's and have the opportunity to bring joy and smiles to children who love dance as much as she does.
Courtney Carpenter is a 2014 graduate of North Andover High School and a proud alum of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios. In her 13 years of dancing she won numerous regional and national awards. In 2008 Courtney was honored to be chosen for the United States Tap Team where she traveled to Germany and won a silver medal. Upon graduation, she had the privilege of dancing alongside her teammates as the closing act for the 2014 Fred Astaire awards in New York City. Courtney is excited to return to Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studio as a faculty member.
Diane Bruno is a 2004 graduate of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios where she performed with the Nancy Chippendale Dance Company all around the world including Virginia Beach, Disney World, Myrtle Beach and Atlantic City. Upson graduation, Diane returned to the stage with Nancy Chippendale’s in 2004 as a member of the US Tap Team in Reisa, Germany. She brought home the title of “World Champion” with TEAM CHIPPS and a bronze medal while competing against 74 other countries. Diane joined the full time teaching faculty at Nancy Chippendale’s in September 2004. She continues her dance education by attending dance conventions and classes on a regular basis including New York City Dance Alliance and Dance Masters of America. She has learned from dance greats such as Joe Lanteri, Chloe Arnold and “Tap Dog” Danny Wallace. Diane graduated from UMASS Lowell with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing.
Ellissa Miguel, Nancy Chippendale's Class of 2000, began dancing at the age of four. Over the fourteen years that she spent dancing at the studio, her extensive dance training allowed her to compete in numerous regional and national dance competitions throughout New England and Virginia Beach, VA. She also traveled to Orlando, Florida as a member of the Nancy Chippendale Dance Company, dancing in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Ellissa graduated from Chippendale's and North Andover High School in 2000. She attended Hofstra University in Long Island, NY and was part of Hofstra’s DanceWorks program. Since college, she has had years of experience in dance education and is thrilled to bring her talents back to her childhood studio. Ellissa lives in Westford with her husband and two children, Lucas and Juliana.
Holly Mulkern is a 2011 graduate of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios where she danced for fifteen years. As a member of the Nancy Chippendale's Competition Team, Holly performed and competed regionally, nationally and internationally as a member of the United States Dance Team. As a member of Team USA, Holly competed in the 2010 World Tap Dance Championships in Germany bringing home gold and bronze medals for the U.S.A. Holly enjoyed performing in the opening act for the Radio City Rockettes as well as performing in New York City and Disney World with Team CHIPPS.
After graduation, Holly went on to graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Saint Anselm College. While at Saint Anselm, she served as the Dance Team Captain and Dance Club Vice-President. Holly is currently a registered nurse at a Manchester, NH hospital and she looks forward to sharing her passion for dance at Nancy Chippendale's Windham with the next generation of CHIPPS!
Jenna Hershman took her first yoga class in 2010 and fell in love with the practice. With a degree in Early Childhood education, Jenna has been teaching preschool since 2009. Deciding to merge her passion for yoga and her love for working with children, in 2014 Jenna went on to receive her Children's yoga certification from ChildLight Yoga in Dover NH. Jenna loves being able to share the benefits of yoga in a fun and engaging way that reaches out and connects to children of all ages. She looks forward to sharing her yoga practice, songs, stories and some giggles with the children at Nancy Chippendale's and Babysteps!
Jennifer Wante is a 2014 Graduate of Nancy Chippendales Dance Studio and Central Catholic High School. She is currently pursuing a Business Degree at Merrimack College. Jennifer has been dancing for 17 years and has won various regional and National Championships as a part of Team Chipps.
Jessica Karamourtopoulos is a graduate of Roger Williams University, earning a Bachelors degree in both Dance Performance and Psychology. In addition to her dance teachnique courses, Jessica completed courses in dance theory, dance history, kinesiology, choreography while completing her degrees. She worked with guest artists and choreographers Sean Curran (New York), Jason Arrea (Ghana, Africa), Jean Abreau (London, England), Kelly Donovan (New York, NY, USA), Heidi Latsky (New York, NY, USA), Jenny Rochna (New York, NY, USA).
Jessica was featured in the Roger Williams Dance Program which also attended the American College Dance Festival each year and performed at the Kennedy Center. She worked as an intern at the Festival Ballet Providence within their Adaptive Dance Program, which explores a series of dance classses for children with Down Syndrome.
Worked in the classroom directly with children to create movement and increase stability, mobility, confidence, and passion for movement. Also worked with Director of program to promote the program, promote importance of dance for all types of abilities/disabilities, and confidence and creativity within children with disabilities. Interested in movement/dance as a means of therapy. New at Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios and very excited to be part of the faculty and looking forward to a great experience.

Kayla Hulburt is a 2014 graduate from Dracut High School and is currently pursuing a Human Development major and Political Science minor at Merrimack College. Kayla has been dancing for 17 years studying all styles of dance and competing in various regional and national competitions for 12 years. Kayla is actively involved in the Merrimack College community as she is apart of the honors program, mentoring freshmen students, and dancing on the Merrimack College Dance Team. Kayla travels to Daytona, Florida yearly with the dance team to compete in the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Cheer and Dance Team Competition as well as attending NDA Dance Camp at Boston University. Along with competing she enjoys choreographing for and performing in many shows and events at Merrimack. Kayla is thrilled to join Nancy Chippendale’s staff and to continue to share her passion of dance and performance!
Marielle Baroni Plante is a graduate of Plymouth State University where she earned her degree in Business Management and Dance Education. Upon graduating, she also received her teaching certification through the Dance Pedagogy Program. She was a full time member of the Contemporary Dance Ensemble and the Plymouth State Dance Team, for which she served as Vice President (2007-2008) and Secretary (2006-2007). Marielle has also had a variety of choreographic opportunities through PSU’s dance department, including having held the position of co-choreographer for the musical “Godspell”. Some of her accomplishments in dance include being selected to perform with the Philharmonic Orchestra in a collaborative dedication to the veterans of World War II, multiple performances in Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days Program, as well as the opportunity to choreograph solos and trios for the Nancy Chippendale's Competition Team. Marielle has had the experience of competing in various regional competitions and was awarded a scholarship for dance in 2007. She has been a full time faculty member for Nancy Chippendale's for 9 years now is more than thrilled to have been named Director of Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios newest location in Windham, NH. Marielle lives in New Hampshire with her husband Bryan and their son, Noah Joseph. She cannot wait to continue inspiring her students and learning from them in return.
Matthew Hooper began his training in Arizona with Ballet Etudes where he preformed numerous roles of various ballet classics and continued his training with Ballet Arizona’s school program. While training in ballet, Matthew also performed with professional theater companies throughout the southwest. In 2004, Matthew was accepted with scholarships to University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he received his B.F.A in Ballet Performance. Matthew was given full scholarships to American Ballet Theatre’s collegiate programs, as well as, Pennsylvania Ballet’s Beyond Technique intensive in association with CPYB. In 2007, Matthew joined Brandywine Ballet where he was fortunate enough to perform with some of top choreographers in the North East as a featured soloist. After a few years of teaching at Nancy Chippendale's Dance United Festival, Matthew decided to make our studio his home to immerse himself in the dynamic culture that makes up Team Chipps! Matthew is on faculty at the Cambridge School of Weston where he teaches Ballet, Modern, Cultural Studies and Dance History.
Meghan Reid studied dance at North Shore Dance Academy for 15 years. With NSDA, Meghan competed throughout New England in countless competitions, coming away with various first place winnings. NSDA is where her love of dance and performing arts sparked. The thrill of the stage lead her to Melrose Youth Ballet for 10 years of performing in The Nutcracker.
Meghan is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Lowell, earning her degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. Meghan has been teaching dance at the Guilmette Elementary School since she has graduated. She is helping to build a district wide dance program, bringing dance education to students that would otherwise not have the opportunity to have. Meghan has showcased her students work across the Merrimack Valley in various community events and performances.
Meghan is beyond thrilled to join the outstanding staff at Nancy Chippendale’s and share her love of dance with the next generation of performers.
Mike Camire has been dancing since the age of 3 and immediately fell in love with tap dance and joined New Hampshire Academie of Dance’s competition team directed by Laura Foti and won titles around New England, at 18 he joined The Boston Tap Company directed by Sean Fielder (Bring in Da Noise, bring in Da Funk) and traveled around the country performing in tap fests and venues around the Boston area, performing in their show Rhythm In The Night,, he later joined Subject: Matter directed by Ian Berg (M.A.A.D. Rhythms) performing in their show Some Pulp. Mike travels to tap fests like DC, Jersey, Beantown, and Dance United, to learn from as many other dancers as he can.
Rachel Donovan started dancing at the age of two and trained at various dance studios in the Boston area. Her dance training allowed her to competitively dance for years, winning regional and national awards. She participated in many dance conventions and had the opportunity to be an assistant teacher with the Turn it Up Dance Convention her senior year of high school. Rachel has danced with professional companies including Dance Prism, Albany Berkshire Ballet, Reagle Music Theatre and performed for Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre's Dance for World Community Festival. Since graduating Andover High School in 2014, Rachel has worked with different companies and studios in New England. She has had the opportunity to work with The Community Music Center of Boston as a dance teacher in their Summer Arts Program. She was captain of the Andover High School Dance Team and is currently a member of the Merrimack College Dance Team, at Merrimack College, where she goes to school studying Human Development and Elementary Education. Rachel's passion for dance has been evident since a young age and she enjoys sharing that passion with young students. She is so excited to be a part of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios faculty and the Chipps family.
Rachel White-Ball began her training at the New Haven Ballet in Connecticut. She graduated high school from the prestigious University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem as a ballet major. Rachel also trained with the School of American Ballet, the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the Hartford Ballet before joining Boston Ballet’s BBII. After retiring from the stage, Rachel served on the faculty of both the School of Dance Connecticut (formerly the School of the Hartford Ballet) and the city of Hartford’s Dance Program for City Youth.
Rachel is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She was certified in 2010 by the New York City Ballet as a trainer in the NYCB Workout. She is a certified member of Dance Masters of America and is a member of the Ohio Chapter. Rachel is also an active member in the worldwide organization IADMS (International Association for Dance Medical Science). Rachel is a highly respected and in demand ballet teacher throughout the Northeast and across the U.S.
In addition to teaching, Rachel is an established adjudicator and has served on the panels for regional and national competitions throughout the United States and Canada.
Shannon Sullivan is a Dancer and Aerialist originally from Andover. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire where she got her bachelors degree in theater with a dance emphasis. After college, she pursued further education training in both Los Angeles at Debbie Allen's Dance Academy and New York City. While in New York, she danced at the Joffrey ballet school and Broadway Dance Center where she became a teaching assistant to Nijawwon Matthews. She assisted him at such places as The Joffrey Ballet School, Steps on Broadway, and Broadway Dance Center. She was also a member of the XY Dance Project and performed at Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center in Brooklyn NY and Centenary College in Hackettstown NJ. Shannon is happy to be back in New England and excited to spread her love and passion for dance to the next generation.
Stacy Becker is a 2001 graduate of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios and Haverhill High School. Her diverse dance training has enabled her to compete and perform in various venues around the country, including, New York City, Myrtle Beach, Norfolk, Orlando and cities all over New England. Stacy was a part of the Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Company that traveled to Walt Disney World and performed in Epcot’s legendary “American Gardens Theater”, kicking off the Disney Magic Music Days Program. One of her most memorable dance experiences was winning the title of “National Champions” at American Dance Awards Competition. Stacy has been a faculty member since 2003 and currently resides in Lowell with her husband and daughters Lily and Kenzie who dances on the Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios Competition Team.
Tanya Carpenter graduated from Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios in 2011 and attended the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, in New York City. She was a part of the Independent Study Program, under the direction of Tracy Inman and Melanie Pearson where she learned classic “Ailey modern” along with many other dance styles. Tanya is currently an apprentice with Urbanity Dance, a Boston-based contemporary dance company and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in dance and business. Tanya is honored to be sharing her knowledge and love for dance with the students of Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios. She is fortunate to be offered so many wonderful opportunities and continues to pursue her career as a professional dancer.
Victoria Robbins is a current junior at Merrimack College majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Marketing and Education. Victoria graduated from Millis High School in 2014 and has been dancing for 17 years. She has studied all types of dance and competed and various regional and national competitions growing up. Victoria is on the Merrimack College Dance Team to further her love for dance. The Merrimack College Dance Team travels to Daytona, Florida each year to compete in the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Cheer and Dance Competition against schools all over the nation. In addition to being on the Dance Team at Merrimack College, Victoria is greatly involved on campus. She is in the Honors Program, a Merrimack College Student Ambassador, involved with Campus Ministry, and part of the Orientation Committee. Victoria has also worked at The Little Gym for four years now, teaching dance, gymnastics, sports classes, camps, and hosting birthday parties for children ages 1-10 years old. She is thrilled to join Nancy Chippendale's staff to continue sharing her passion for dancing and teaching!
